JOKE OF THE WEEK

Jennifer's wedding day was fast approaching. Nothing could dampen her excitement,
not even her parent's nasty divorce.
Her mother had found the PERFECT dress to wear and would be the best
dressed mother- of-the-bride ever!
A week later, Jennifer was horrified to learn that her father's new
young wife had bought the exact same dress! Jennifer asked her to
exchange it, but she refused. "Absolutely not, I look like a million
bucks in this dress, and I'm wearing it," she replied.
Jennifer told her mother who graciously said, "Never mind sweetheart.
I'll get another dress. After all, it's your special day." A few days
later, they went shopping and did find another gorgeous dress. When they
stopped for lunch, Jennifer asked her mother, "Aren't you going to return
the other dress? You really don't have another occasion where you could wear it.
Her mother just smiled and replied, "Of course I do, dear. I'm wearing
it to the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding."

An Ode to Being Back to Work (my first week back)

Dear Lord,

Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I cannot accept,
and the wisdom to hide the bodies of those people I had
to kill today because they pissed my off.

And also, help me to be careful of the toes I step on
today as they may be connected to the ass that I may
have to kiss tomorrow.

Help me to always give 100% at work...
12% on Monday
23% on Tuesday
40% on Wednesday
20% on Thursday
5% on Friday.

And help me to remember.....
When I'm having a really bad day, and it seems that
people are trying to piss me off, that it takes 42 muscles
to frown and only 4 to extend my middle finger and tell
them to bite me!!

More Cakes

Here's some more Cake Toppers. The Bride dragging the Groom has been forwarded on kindly by Young Peter (see Link) and the Flower Bride & Groom was from my own Wedding Cake - see previous post (My Cakes). I had trouble uploading the pic, so that's why i've only added it now. I'm still in trouble with Peter for not blogging enough....i'm trying Peter!!!!

Ps. See the new pic of me. My hubby and I recently went on a P & O Cruise to New Caledonia. I stumble into this shot (after a bottle of Asti Ricadonna). Thus the result of the glassy look in the eye. I will blog the trip - in months to come no doubt. Plus the Softball State Championships - my girls came in about 5th place overall. But we made it to the Semi Finals non the less
